Yellowknife, NWT (Feb. 20, 2013) – Scarlet Security Services is pleased to announce the acquisition of SECURECheck from Nunasi Corporation. The transaction will take effect March 1st, with all SECURECheck line employees joining Scarlet. In addition, Scarlet Security operations (as well those of its sister company Twilite Security Ltd.) will be consolidated at the current SECURECheck location within the Nunasi Corporation Yellowknife office.
Scarlet Security is a remote services incorporated entity, specializing in safety, security and screening support for remote mining, ice roads, pipeline and oil & gas projects.
The acquisition of SECURECheck further expands Scarlet’s remote operations by adding both new regions and complimentary services. Scarlet President Patrick Doyle commented, “SECURECheck is a good company that I am proud to add to our brand. I’m excited to see us continue to expand our capabilities and improve the quality and depth of our service to our northern customers. With our recent change to northern ownership last fall, and the conclusion of several new JV’s across the north, and now this acquisition, we are in a great position to respond to the current and future needs in our sector while maximizing local impact and benefits”.
The amicable transaction has also created a new relationship between Scarlet and Nunasi – that of tenant and landlord. “The sale of SECURECheck is part of Nunasi’s strategy to focus our investment portfolio. Scarlet Security is a northern owned and operated business with many years of experience working in the north. We are pleased to have Scarlet Security as a new tenant in our Yellowknife building.” said Wilfred Wilcox, Chairmen of the Nunasi Corporation Board of Directors.
