In January 2018, Ironline Compression (Ironline) acquired Calgary based, Protech Compression Services Inc. (Protech).

Stormont acted in the following capacity as the exclusive transaction advisor to
Ironline and their private equity partner, Staple Street Capital:
 

• Leveraged comprehensive industry experience to help narrow down the criteria for investment,
• Identified and approached suitable target candidates,
• Facilitated introductory meetings between Protech, Staple Street and Ironline
• Supported Staple Street in assessing the acquisition relative to other target candidates, and
• Provided support through the process as required.

 
Ironline is a multifaceted Canadian reciprocating equipment services company providing compressor fleet sales and rentals, field repair services, parts supply, engineering and optimization services. Protech is a regional service provider to mid/downstream clients in the foothills of south-central Alberta, specializes in overhauls and field-level engine and compressor maintenance.
 
This transaction provided the major shareholder of Protech with a liquidity event and provides additional market share to Ironline as it continues to expand in strategic markets across Western Canada.
