In November 2013, a private strategic buyer acquired Bill McColman Oilfield Hauling Ltd., a Brooks, Alberta-based oilfield fluid hauling company specializing in hauling crude oil production, and the missing, storage and transport of brine fluids.
Stormont acted as the exclusive financial advisor to the company and its shareholders including:
- Identified suitable strategic and private equity partners
- Managed a competitive process with multiple counter-parties
- Negotiated commercial terms
- Closed the transaction
This transaction provided liquidity to the Company’s shareholders as well as provided the buyer with a stable growth platform in the oilfield transportation market segment.
